📍Malmö, Sweden

GreenBioNourish (GBN AB) is a Malmö University spin-off that helps food and beverage manufacturers increase micronutrient intake using biotech-derived fortification ingredients and turnkey formulations. Its patent-pending BoostNCaps™ nanocapsule system improves the bioavailability and stability of nutrients like iron, calcium, and vitamins in a wide range of foods and drinks, including cheese and powders, without changing taste or texture.

Diverse scientific duo Marité Cárdenas Gómez and Rita Del Giudice with strong academic backgrounds in physical chemistry, biocolloids, biochemistry and biotechnology from Lund University and the University of Naples Federico II, holding senior roles as Professor / Ikerbasque Research Professor and Associate Professor / Senior Lecturer at Malmö University. They combine deep expertise in biointerfaces, biocolloids, cell and molecular biology.

Positioned at the intersection of food and biotech, using patent-pending nutrient capsules to make everyday foods healthier without changing taste or texture.

📍London, United Kingdom

Trove helps small businesses collect unpaid invoices via bank transfer, making accounts receivable and credit control easier for owners, accountants, and bookkeepers. Users can see which customers have opened emails or clicked to pay, then escalate problem invoices when needed, which makes bank transfers almost as effective as direct debit while improving cash flow predictability for SMEs.

Co founder Anna Turner-Major leads product and finance, bringing a master’s degree from the University of Oxford and experience as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company before holding senior operations and product roles at Spill. Technical co founder Robin Sonefors is a software engineer with experience as tech lead across several product companies, now focused on building Trove’s collections infrastructure for small businesses.

Attacks a common blind spot in small businesses, where structured credit control and collections tooling often do not exist. Trove is positioned as the default layer for chasing invoices, tapping a large, under-served SME market with strong expansion potential.

📍Cologne, Germany

PoLightFilters develops the next generation of optical filters, delivering angle independent spectral performance using organic, polariton based thin film technology. Its proprietary resonator structures keep the transmission spectrum stable even when light hits at oblique angles, solving the long standing blueshift problem of conventional interference filters.

Founding team of Elena von der Heyden, Andreas Mischok, Emma Puttock, Dr. Ahmed Abdelmagid and Prof. Malte Gather, combining business, photonics, materials and production expertise. Elena holds a double master’s in International Management and leads business development. Andreas is a physicist specialising in thin-film polariton filters. Emma has a PhD in chemistry focused on organic photonics and electronics. Ahmed, production lead, has a PhD in Photonics and experience in lab setup, process optimisation and scaling. Malte is a Humboldt Professor with 20+ years in optical technologies and co-inventor of the filter technology. Together they bring the key ingredients for this startup: top-tier science, production know-how, strong networks and commercial focus.

PoLightFilters offers filters that stay consistent, helping manufacturers build smaller, more reliable devices and giving the company a “must have” component it can sell into many industries.

📍Berlin, Germany

AnaMadness Sunfreaks is a Berlin-based suncare startup mixing molecular science with bold beauty culture. The brand’s mission is to make skin cancer prevention cool, protection powerful, and skincare inclusive, with formulas designed for all skin tones and types.

Founded by Dr. Ana Maria Gätjens-Sanchez, who holds a PhD in Molecular Biology from Humboldt University and Charité, with a background in molecular oncology research. She led projects at Charité before moving into strategy consulting, working on pharma and healthcare topics at Roland Berger and later as Senior Industry Analyst at Porsche Consulting. She now brings this mix of deep science and consulting experience to build AnaMadness Sunfreaks at the intersection of biotech, skin health and beauty culture.

Plays in a large, growing market at the crossroads of skincare, prevention and beauty, with a brand that makes daily SPF use aspirational. A scientific founder with oncology credentials and top-tier consulting experience gives strong credibility on both product and commercial strategy.

📍Tampere, Finland

Niina is a repeat founder and scientist by training. She previously founded and led EVA Global, an EV services company she built over seven years, and before that worked in research and regulatory roles in medtech and diagnostics. Niina holds a PhD in Musculoskeletal Tissue Regeneration & Stem Cell Research and a postdoc from the University of Cambridge, plus an MPhil in Molecular Biology and a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Tampere.

Serial founder with a strong academic backbone now building an AI-first ops product based on hard-won experience scaling her previous company.

📍London, United Kingdom

Giorgia Capaccio is a second-time founder with education in finance and investing. She holds both a BSc and MSc in Finance from Bocconi University, graduating first class, and previously worked in markets and investing at London Stock Exchange Group and Cambridge Associates before founding Fluum and now building her next tech venture in stealth.

Serial founder with top-tier quantitative finance training and institutional investing experience, now applying that toolkit to build a tech product from the operator’s perspective.
